Adam Rubin joined NYIT as assistant athletic director for strategic communications in February 2017 after previously serving as Mets beat reporter for ESPN, which included frequent appearances on "SportsCenter" as well as hosting a baseball show on ESPN 98.7 radio in New York. He also has worked for the New York Daily News and Birmingham (Ala.) News and is an active voter for the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown.
In addition to his NYIT duties, Rubin contributes to SportsNet New York, the Mets' television network, as well as the New York Post.
He is a 1995 graduate of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in economics and concentration in marketing. He originally is from Bellmore, Long Island, and attended Mepham High School.
At NYIT, Rubin oversees content creation for NYITBears.com and the athletic department's social-media accounts. He also has spearheaded upgrades of the game streaming and game programs and landed NYIT weekly on Optimum Channel 20 in Nassau and Suffolk counties with a game of the week.
