OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. — NYIT women's lacrosse coach Kerri Handras landed four high school seniors during the signing period that concluded Wednesday.

The signees, who will join the Bears for the 2018-19 academic year, are attackers Jaclyn Grzelaczyk from Seaford High School and Casey Myers from Bellport High School as well as Rocky Point defender Sara Giammarella and Sachem North goalie Ashley Perrini.

Here's what NYIT coach Kerri Handras had to say about each signee …

"Jaclyn Grzelaczyk has great size and strength and will look to make an immediate impact on the attack. A talented playmaker and her ability to score make her a double threat.

"Casey Myers is a coachable player who is always looking to perfect her game. She's a versatile attacker with drive and great field vision.

"Sara Giammarella is a tenacious athlete and competitor who leads her team on defense. Her toughness and determination will bring a spark to the team.

"Ashley Perrini is a hard-working and talented goalie. She's always looking to improve her game. Her quick hands and feet make her a great shot stopper."
